STATEMENT of PURPOSES & RULES


The Australian Chain Link Fencing Association (ACLFA) was formed in May 2003 under the umbrella of the Australasian Wire Industry Association (AWIA) to provide a national forum for companies involved in manufacturing, supplying or installing Chain Link and tubular fencing.

Aim of the ACLFA:  

Promote the interests of the chain Link manufacturers, suppliers and installers and to encourage the supply and installation of quality products to recognised Australian Standards wherever possible.

Objectives include:
Positioning the Association as the recognised authority on chain link manufacture and installation within Australasia.

Organise national conferences, trade fairs, regional meetings and overseas tours where appropriate.

Create public awareness of the industry through advertising, trade publications, conventions and exhibitions etc.

Make representations and submissions in the name of the Association to governments, statutory authorities and other organisations on any matter which may affect the industry.

Be a conduit for the collection and dissemination of technical information on product and standards for the industry.

Develop educational programs to increase the knowledge and skills of industry employees.

Create credibility for the Association’s members within the industry and subsequently with other industry groups.

Ensuring our activities are conducted with sound ethical trading practices.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the Association shall be open to any person, firm or corporation that is operating in Australasia and involved in the Chain Link and tubular fencing industry, subject to meeting the membership criteria.

Membership shall be conditional upon acceptance of and compliance with the Purposes and Rules of the Association.

Membership is subject to an Industry Code of Compliance. Members shall be required to adhere to a members “Code of Compliance” which meets sound ethical business practices

Such accreditation being designed to ensure that member's products and services are deemed to be recognised as acceptable industry practice.

Membership is subject to meeting the agreed purposes of the Association as stated above.
